Job Title: Test Engineer (Levels I - V)
Location(s): Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Hours: Regular Full-Time
Salary Range: $130k/yr - $207k/yr
Clearance Requirements
This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Poly at the time of application.
What you will be doing:
  • Analyze requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, architecture products, and capability descriptions to develop test and evaluation plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct test execution, data collection, analysis, and report status and results.
  • Develop test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Event Test Plans, Test Assessments, and T&E Reports.
  • Work with other organizations to support T&E program integration.
  • Provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to capability functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.
  • Serve as the test manager for a project coordinating all test activities with program management and other project functional managers
  • Demonstrate test engineering experience that provided an understanding of DoD Architecture Framework products and the DoD information security risk management framework
  • Demonstrate test engineering experience that provided an understanding of IC Architecture Framework products and the IC information security risk management framework
  • Participate in development or selection of test processes or standards for a program or enterprise
  • Brief external stakeholders on project test program status and activities
  • Serve as primary liaison to the government for project test activity coordination and execution
  • Serve in a project test leadership role providing technical guidance and direction to contractor test team members
  • Develop a test harness or a framework that provides for test automation (scripts, test data sets, code instrumentation, tools, etc.)
  • Evaluate and recommend test tools appropriate to a project
  • Develop a master test plan for a program to include overall test strategy, risks, schedule and required resources
  • Perform interoperability testing to validate the conformance of a product or system with an industry standard specification or profile
  • Brief internal stakeholders on project test program status and activities
  • Assess operational and system performance requirements for testability and develop acceptance tests
  • Design a test plan to verify that a product or system meets its design specifications or requirements
  • Design and execute load or stress tests that verify system scalability or performance under extreme conditions
  • Develop a survey for evaluation of Subject Matter Expert (SME) input and user assessments of performance
  • Participate in project cross-functional working group (e.g. Working-level Integrated Product Team, Data Authentication Group)
  • Create test procedures and test cases with acceptance criteria that verify given requirements
  • Perform test execution, analyze results and document anomalous results in a discrepancy reporting system
  • Produce a test report

Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
  • One (1) - Sixteen (16) years of experience as a test engineer, at least two years of which must have been in a DoD or IC program (Depending on position level)

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
    • Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Certifications:
  • IAT II Certification Required

Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary would be required.
