Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Test Lead to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the enterprise test strategy covering unit, integration, regression, security, performance, load, and DR/BC testing to validate functionality, interoperability, and readiness.
  • Define testing approaches for new capabilities, architectural changes, data migrations, and modernization initiatives; align test activities with lifecycle requirements and DoD/Army guidance.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Reports, and traceability matrices to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Coordinate testing across development teams, systems engineers, cybersecurity, data/interface stakeholders, and enterprise architecture to validate requirements and assess risk.
  • Direct execution of test events, manage defect triage and remediation verification, and validate fixes through retesting and regression cycles.
  • Execute performance/load and continuity testing; validate recovery procedures and DR/BC scenarios to support operational resilience.
  • Produce testing metrics, readiness assessments, and decision-grade recommendations for deployment authorization and program leadership.
  • Integrate lessons learned into future test cycles, improve automation/CI-CD testing, and drive continuous improvement of test processes and tooling.

Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
    • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (example: System Testing and Evaluation Specialist (Advanced) Playlist); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (example: CCSP).
  • Required experience and skills:
    • Test engineering/QA experience with at least 7+ years leading enterprise test programs across functional, security, performance, and continuity domains.
    • Proven ability to author Test Strategy/Plans/Cases/Reports and manage end-to-end test execution in complex, multi-environment programs.
    • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, load/performance tools, test environment orchestration, and CI/CD integration for automated testing.
    • Strong defect lifecycle management, root-cause analysis, and verification/validation skills; ability to produce actionable test metrics and readiness summaries.
    • Experience coordinating cross-functional test efforts with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations and supporting RMF/ATO evidence requirements.
  • Desired:
    • Prior DoD/ARNG enterprise test leadership or accreditation support experience.
    • Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail/Zephyr), performance tools (JMeter/LoadRunner), and integration of testing into DevSecOps pipelines.

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
