Job description

LHH is seeking an Engineering Manager for a leading manufacturing organization. This role provides hands-on technical leadership while guiding engineering initiatives that improve efficiency, ensure quality, and support customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, team leadership, and process improvement, with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. The anticipated salary for this role is between $130,000 and $160,000 a year.
Responsibilities:

· Lead and support a team of design, process, and manufacturing engineers.
· Prioritize engineering projects and ensure deadlines and production needs are met.
· Provide technical guidance on CAD design, manufacturing processes, and process planning.
· Oversee engineering documentation, drawings, revisions, and configuration control.
· Support manufacturing readiness, production processes, and technical problem-solving.
· Develop and maintain process plans, routers, and job documentation.
· Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and ensure accurate revision control.
· Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and customers on technical requirements.
· Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support job tracking and process management.
· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and operational performance.
· Ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and customer specifications.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Machinal engineering or related field
· 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
· 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and production workflows.

· Proficiency with CAD systems and experience managing engineering documentation.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
· Experience with Lean manufacturing, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
· Knowledge of engineering change processes, revision control, and configuration management.
· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing management software.
