Who will you be working with?

You'll be joining Wabtec Bus Solutions, a team driving innovation in Transit Bus & Rail systems, including passenger door systems, wheelchair lifts & ramps, e-Bus charging systems, driver's protective barriers, and more. We blend technical expertise with deep product knowledge to deliver high-impact solutions for our customers and communities. 

How will you make a difference? 

As a Test Engineering Technician II, you will support the test engineering team by performing hands-on testing on electromechanical assemblies, subsystems or parts, assisting with test setup and troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces. Reporting to the Engineering Manager or Supervisor, you will contribute to accurate and efficient design verification activities while working closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams. 

What do we want to know about you?

Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of relevant experience in electromechanical testing or a related field.

Basic hands-on skills with mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and test setups. 

Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, calipers, pressure gauges.

Experience in electromechanical testing and troubleshooting and basic troubleshooting ability and judgment in a lab or prototype environment.

Exposure to DC motors, relays, basic control systems and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).

What will your typical day look like?

Assist engineers with verification testing.

Execute functional and performance tests by procedures.

Assist or lead troubleshooting electromechanical systems.

Support RMA (returned product) evaluations by collecting data and documenting findings.

Follow guidance of Test Engineers help build & maintain test fixtures.

Maintain lab equipment and workspace organized and follow safety procedures. 

Occasionally supports production issues.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $44400-58800. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
