Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career.
THE ROLE:
As a Senior System Test Engineering Manager within the Product Development Group, you will lead system test engineering efforts that enable AMD's next-generation accelerator products from early development through high-volume manufacturing. This role is responsible for defining system-level test strategy, driving execution across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments, and ensuring robust coverage for functionality, compatibility, and reliability.
You will manage and mentor a team of system test engineers while working cross-functionally with design, product engineering, operations, and business partners to ensure products meet quality, schedule, and customer expectations. You take ownership, proactively remove obstacles, and are motivated by delivering high-quality products to market through strong team execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage a team of system test engineers supporting Instinct accelerator product development

  • Drive alignment on test coverage, validation readiness, and quality metrics across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, and Customer Engineering teams
  • Oversee planning and execution for system test deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Identify technical, schedule, and quality risks; drive mitigation plans and escalation as needed
  • Communicate program and execution status, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
  • Collaborate closely with globally distributed teams, including Asia-based engineering and operations organizations
  • Champion continuous improvement in test methodologies, tools, processes, and team execution

  • Strong background supporting GPU, accelerator, or complex SoC-based products
  • Experience with pre-silicon planning, post-silicon validation, customer sampling, and manufacturing readiness
  • Proven people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance development
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional, and geographically distributed engineering environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status and recommendations to senior or director-level leadership
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, Windows OS) for planning, tracking, and reporting
