Field Service Test Technician

Pay:

The hourly rate for this position is between $30 – $45 per hour.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Position Details:

This position is responsible for substation testing and assist with overseeing testing projects, training, evaluating, and mentoring entry level test technicians as well as reviewing substation test results as well as analyzing and advising test data collection activities.  


  • Leader in Safety Culture
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in safety training programs and meetings.
  • Perform testing as a crew lead on projects.
  • Ability to install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving during apparatus testing.
  • Understand the theory behind and reason for testing with the ability to analyze results.
  • Develop and write reports.
  • Clear communication with Internal and external Calisto/other metering installations & commissioning.
  • Creating plans for testing apparatus.

  • High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and prints
  • Knowledge of electrical principles and safety practices in high-voltage environments

 

Work Environment:

 

Outdoor work in varying conditions; exposure to electrical hazards, moving equipment, and high-voltage systems. Safety training and PPE provided.
