The Test Engineer is responsible for executing software testing processes to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications. This role involves designing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and documenting results to ensure software meets defined requirements and standards. The Test Engineer collaborates closely with development and product teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of the software.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning & Design (25%):
    • Analyze requirements and technical specifications to create test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with product goals and user expectations.
    • Identify testing criteria and acceptance standards for features and applications.
  • Test Execution (25%):
    • Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
    • Perform regression, integration, and system testing to identify bugs and inconsistencies.
    • Run automated test scripts where applicable and report results.
  • Defect Reporting & Tracking (20%):
    • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
    • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve issues.

    • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter or K6) and security testing concepts.
    • Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.

71,415.00 - 119,025.00 USD Annual
