Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla is a leading company in the automotive and AI sectors, and they are seeking a Technical Program Manager for their AI team. The role involves driving cross-functional programs related to data collection, data labeling, and AI operations, ensuring efficient execution and alignment across global teams.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end program management for Tesla AI initiatives spanning data collection, annotation/labeling pipelines, and new vehicle programs
• Define and maintain program roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Coordinate with data operations, engineering, and QA teams to ensure high-quality labeled datasets are delivered on schedule
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive process improvements to scale AI data pipelines and labeling workflows
• Track program status, surface risks early, and drive resolutions across engineering and operations stakeholders
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional alignment between Tesla's US and global teams
• Generate clear, concise program status reports and executive summaries communicating progress, blockers, and next steps
• Build and maintain tooling or scripts to automate program tracking, reporting, and workflow coordination
• Support new vehicle program launches by coordinating AI readiness milestones across teams
• Conduct or coordinate on-site reviews and operational assessments, including travel to global facilities
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of technical program management or operations management experience, preferably in AI, autonomous vehicles, or a high-growth technology environment
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, data pipelines, and AI development workflows
• Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment with competing priorities
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a drive toward action
• Passion for the future of transportation and AI technologies
Preferred:
• Experience managing large-scale data collection or labeling operations is a strong plus
