Job description

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a seasoned technology leader with deep, hands-on supply chain domain expertise - specifically in inbound transportation and supply chain planning. The ideal candidate has spent years leading the technology behind carrier management, freight procurement, and network optimization, and can translate complex operational requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. They have directly led and developed product management teams, and bring strong financial acumen to managing technology budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement negotiations. They communicate with clarity and influence confidently at both executive and operational levels, and they make sound build, buy, and partner decisions. This role requires demonstrated, hands-on platform experience - not stakeholder-level exposure - so candidates without direct inbound transportation and enterprise supply chain technology depth are unlikely to be a fit.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
The Supply Chain & Planning Technologies team owns the strategic technology roadmap for Nike's end-to-end supply chain. This Director leads a team of product managers, reports to [Senior Director, Supply Chain & Planning Technologies], and partners with supply chain leadership, enterprise technology, finance, procurement, and external vendors to deliver the platforms that power global supply chain execution.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will own the end-to-end delivery of Nike's supply chain technology products - from strategic roadmap through deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement - while leading a team of product managers and partnering across supply chain, finance, procurement, and enterprise technology.
  • Build and maintain highly scalable, resilient platforms that stay reliable under complex, high-volume operational demands.
  • Serve as the primary technology liaison across supply chain operations, leadership, and enterprise technology partners.
  • Evaluate build, buy, and partner options to land the optimal approach for each capability, balancing speed-to-market with long-term maintainability.
  • Own the technology budget for supply chain and planning platforms - capital expenditures, operating costs, vendor contracts, and licensing.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers with deep supply chain domain expertise, setting delivery cadences that drive accountability and velocity.
  • Oversee solutions across logistics, transportation management, warehouse operations, and international multi-modal supply chain execution.
  • Drive alignment across supply chain, finance, procurement, and IT so technology investments map directly to business objectives and operational KPIs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in inbound transportation, including carrier management, freight procurement, and network optimization across domestic and international lanes.
  • 5+ years directly managing a team (hiring, performance management, and mentoring), including ownership of a technology budget of $1 million or more - vendor contracts and procurement negotiations.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or configuring enterprise supply chain platforms (e.g., ERP, TMS, WMS), including their integration architecture. Stakeholder-level exposure does not qualify.
  • Demonstrated experience with upstream ERP and planning processes - master data, planning parameters, MOQs, manufacturing lead times, demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience managing complex international supply chains - cross-border shipping, customs compliance, trade documentation, and multi-modal transportation (air, rail, ocean, truck).
  • Familiarity with warehouse and distribution center operations - warehouse management (WMS), inventory control, order fulfillment, and labor planning.
  • Experience specifically leading product management teams with supply chain domain specialization.
