Field Service Technician, Crew Based, Commercial 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants What To Expect As a Commercial Field Service Technician, you will be empowered to work across the entire Tesla organization to problem solve and ensure the success of our Commercial Energy field service execution. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance services to Tesla's commercial products such as solar PV systems, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging stations. The focus of this role would primarily be solar PV systems.

This position will require 100% travel and candidate should reside in contiguous United States (lower 48 states). What You'll Do Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules/array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment Organize trucks for installs/removals for the upcoming day, making sure everything is neat and organized Able to perform required preventive maintenance activities on Commercial PV systems and capable of training/mentoring others in the team as needed Respond to corrective maintenance cases on all commercial energy products and update online case logs accurately Respond to customers' concerns with the performance or functionality of their system What You'll Bring Minimum 2 years' experience PV equipment and installation, preferably commercial or utility scale, and with extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment. Ability to read electrical plan sets and equipment manuals.

Previous experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently. Ability to work at great heights, in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, and lift at least 50 lbs frequently. Experience working in hot sun, cold, and crawl spaces.

Must be comfortable working at heights on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs. Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time up to 12 hours a day, and have the ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials. Ability to climb and utilize equipment on site, including various ladders rated for 300 lbs, and must meet OSHA fall protection standards for high‐height work limited at 300 lbs.

Must also be able to meet equipment standards for fall protection (harness, anchor, ropes, etc.) with a maximum capacity of 310 lbs. Ability to travel to numerous sites daily and travel up to 2 weeks at a time with short notice, with flexibility to work on weekends and/or overtime along with overnight stay to support Tesla's critical mission. Must have compliant government‐issued identification for domestic air travel and/or to access certain federal facilities.

Valid driver's license required.
