Job description

TASK DESCRIPTION: This position is located in the KAF I-Level Maintenance Activity to provide contract maintenance services regarding the installation, operation, maintenance, modification and repair of KAF aircraft systems. TASK REQUIREMENT: Perform maintenance, testing, repair, and replacement of discrete components using thru-hole and surface mount soldering and de-soldering techniques using the PACE PRC-2000 rework stations. Repair multi-layer circuit cards, switches, and various types of connection devices. Perform corrosion control work on electronic components. Perform repairs of cables and connectors to include wire wrap procedures. Required to read and understand technical schematics and discreet component characteristic data. Support OJT and cross-training of KAF personnel. MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a minimum of four (4) years experience in micro-miniature component repair. Must be a graduate of "C" Level Micro-Miniature Component Repair Course. Must be proficient in the use of technical publications and schematics. A US Secret Security Clearance is required.
