Sales Territory Manager for Midwest Locations


This role will cover the Midwest territory, and the candidate should ideally live in the Midwest area specifically Indiana or surrounding area but not required.


PURPOSE OF POSITION


The Sales Territory Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, expanding market share, and executing sales strategies in the assigned territory. This role requires a dynamic sales professional with a strong ability to engage clients, identify needs, and deliver tailored solutions that align with company objectives. The Sales Territory Manager will also play a key role in promoting and specifying products within the engineering community to foster long-term business success.


Company Overview


Press-Seal is a leading provider of high-quality sealing solutions for underground infrastructure products. We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and execute strategic sales initiatives within an assigned territory. This role involves promoting Press-Sealโ€™s products to manufacturers, engineering community and contractors ensuring long-term business success. The position is flexible in location and will require approximately 40% overnight and 20%โ€“30% for same-day trips. A car stipend will be provided.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development

  • Customer Market Share & Growth: Maintain existing customer base while identifying new opportunities to grow market share for Press-Seal products.
  • Regional Market Understanding: Understand local market dynamics and factors impacting growth.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target infrastructure accounts to support territorial expansion.
  • Product Promotion & Specification: Promote and specify Press-Seal products within the municipal, engineering, and contractor communities to drive awareness and preference.
  • Industry Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of underground infrastructure markets, manufacturers, civil contractors, engineers, and municipalities. Be able to navigate the buying path and decision-makers in the customerโ€™s product selection process.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understand construction specifications and ASTM standards relevant to underground infrastructure.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Presentations & Demonstrations: Create and deliver technical presentations to potential customers and specifying engineers.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and implement a strategic plan to ensure both short-term sales growth and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify and respond to customer needs with tailored product solutions and service offerings.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to spot growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and providing post-sale support.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to enhance product offerings and improve the overall customer experience.

Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • CRM Utilization: When implemented
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Press-Sealโ€™s Customer Service and Engineering Departments to ensure smooth operations and other sales team members.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit timely sales reports, outlining progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and track sales forecasts and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Professional Development & Market Representation

  • Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to boost brand visibility and market positioning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and marketdevelopments to improve sales effectiveness.

Qualifications
