Job description

Position Summary:
The Terminal Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing and running the day-to-day operations for the entire service center. Additionally, they will lead the operations hiring initiatives, as well as to lead, educate and develop their staff. The Terminal Manager will report to the Director of Regional Operations.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing and managing the results of terminal operations reports on revenues derived, costs of operation, accidents and claims
  • Inspecting terminal facilities for conformance to established safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility; ensuring maintenance repairs are done in a timely manner
  • Monitoring assigned budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving processes, procedures and performance
  • Executing necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and DOT rules and regulations
  • Overseeing Service Center personnel including the hiring, coaching, disciplining, training and evaluating employee performance
  • Directly supervising front line leadership, administrative support and drivers
  • Demonstrating the Pyle Culture through the expansive and repetitive communication of Pyle core values across all levels in the organization

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:
  • Minimum five (5) years of previous LTL supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience; ability to lead a team on a daily basis
  • Proficient with MS Office applications; strong computer literacy
  • Ability to work all shifts as required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
