Job description

Essential Functions

  1. Ensures the safety of associates through safety and development programs.
  2. Ensures daily production requirements are met by following up on style changes, warp outs, breakdowns, and problem machines.
  3. Coordinates training of associates as needed to ensure all associates are properly trained. Also, cross train associates as needed to be able to cover all positions when absences occur.
  4. Ensures that policy enforcement is consistently maintained among employees.
  5. Continuous improvement in all aspects of quality. Reviews problems and ensures steps are taken to eliminate such issues. Makes sure fabrics are processed in such a manner that would guarantee the customer's requirements are met or exceeded.
  6. Solves specific problems that affect internal and external workings of the department and those that affect customers.
  7. Ensures customer orders or requirements are completed in a timely fashion and in the safest and most efficient manner possible.
  8. Communicates verbally and completes reports on all off quality. This involves providing as much information as possible to aid in the investigation and solving a quality problem.
  9. Assist with period ending inventory.
  10. Develops and promotes individual and team interaction maintaining and improving process controls.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment where the worker may be exposed to noise, dust and some chemicals, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toe shoes. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time second shift position.
TravelThis position requires little to no travel.
Required Education and Experience
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Textile experience required.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing environment with 3 or more years in a supervisory role.
