What we need:

The Sourcing Manager is a leading performer that leads the execution for key projects within an assigned category, ensuring alignment with business objectives while optimizing category performance parameters such as innovation, cost, quality, delivery, social compliance, and strategic fit of the suppliers managed. This role is focused on ensuring the successful delivery of new product launches in a timely and cost-effective manner while utilizing sourcing processes across multiple source regions.

What you'll do: 

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and procurement best practices.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to execute sourcing activities, including supplier identification, selection, and negotiation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, ensuring optimal cost savings, efficiency, and supplier performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain reliability and resolve any performance or quality issues.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to proactively identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and contractual agreements.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis to senior leadership on sourcing performance and project status.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, product management, sales, and finance to ensure sourcing activities meet organizational needs and financial targets.
  • Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring category sales targets and operating income targets are met.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing effectiveness and supplier performance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sourcing processes, contracts, and supplier performance metrics for transparency and accountability.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, innovations, and technologies in sourcing and procurement.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What you have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 6-8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

What you're good at: 

  • Strong project management skills required for role (with ability to manage multiple projects of varying size across multiple suppliers).
  • Strong problem solving skill set to address issues as they arise to maintain project timelines as committed.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
  • Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas (such as textiles and/or plastics manufacturing).
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills (especially within global sourcing settings).
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
