Job description

Summary Summary / Main Purpose of Job: The Voting Machine Assistant Technician is responsible for assisting the Voting Machine Supervisor and the Voting Machine Technician in preparing and maintaining the electronic voting machines. Criminal background check is required. Essential Duties Essential Duties, Tasks and Accountabilities: Assist Voting Machine Technician in programming and testing all electronic voting machines.

Maintain all electronic voting equipment on a daily basis (e.g., charging batteries, testing, etc.). Help plot out delivery and pick-up routes for voting machines. Help inspect polling place locations

Help prepare necessary electronic machines' supplies that are used for voting. Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required. Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience Qualifications / Requirements: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Ability to train on voting machine maintenance and upkeep. Accurate and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives.

Ability to work as part of a team. Basic skill to use a personal computer and various software packages. Ability to read and follow directions.

Accurate and detail-oriented. Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions. A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Knowledge of voting machine equipment. Time management skills. Ability to establish priorities.

Able to carry tasks to completion. Flexibility. Ability to follow office protocol.

Proactive. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Additional Information Relevant background checks, clearances, physicals, drug tests, and any other assessments or evaluations will be conducted after an offer of employment is given per County policy.
