GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management is responsible to transform and innovate revenue cycle management operations, accelerating operational improvement, create and implement a scalable structure that supports the organization’s strategy.

PRINCIPLE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives efficiency opportunities through innovative partnerships, process improvements and redesign, deployment of technology and automation to accelerate cash, prevent revenue leakage and maintain strong accounts receivable oversight with strong controls and ensuring compliance.
  • Oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of the organization’s revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction and establish key performance indicators for the Ascend Vision Partner practices.
  • Ensures due diligence in the research, analysis and interpretation of patient medical records to identify and determine amount and nature of billable services, assignments and sequencing of appropriate diagnostic/procedure billing codes for the purpose of reimbursement, in compliance with requirements of third-party insurance payers and accreditation standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare revenue cycle management and/or patient financial services role experience and minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
  • N/A
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct leadership of the assigned optical operations team members
  • Partners with Human Resources to attract, recruit and retain top talent to support the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Ensures the team has the necessary resources and support to continue to meet/exceed goals.
  • Establishes current and long-term goals for team members.
