Job description

Job Title: Powertrain Engineer
Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will perform engineering work to integrate engine and powertrain components and systems into existing and new mobile, heavy-duty, off-highway equipment. Collaborate with multiple teams and vendors to ensure the proper application of engines, engine cooling, exhaust, power take-off, vibration isolation, and driveline components.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate engine and powertrain components/systems into mobile, heavy-duty, off-highway equipment.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and vendors to ensure the proper application of engines and related components.
  • Conduct vibration analysis and design vibration isolation systems.
  • Utilize high-level CAD systems for design purposes.
  • Work with vehicle control systems and associated software.
  • Familiarize and work with CAN bus communication messages and principles.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 3-plus years of powertrain system integration experience with off-highway or heavy mobile vehicles.
  • Experience in vibration analysis and vibration isolation design.
  • Proficiency with high-level CAD systems.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus communication messages and principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous design experience in internal combustion engines or engine systems.
  • Exposure to vehicle control systems and their associated software.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $48.07/hr.
