Venture Capital Associate AttorneyAmLaw 200 OpportunityCompensation

$240,000 – $360,000+

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Venture Capital Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing emerging growth companies, venture capital funds, founders, investors, and technology companies throughout the business lifecycle.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of venture capital, emerging companies, or corporate transactional experience
• Experience representing venture-backed companies, founders, investors, or venture capital funds preferred
• Experience with seed financings, Series A through later-stage financings, convertible notes, SAFEs, and growth equity transactions
• Experience advising companies on corporate governance, strategic transactions, and general corporate matters
• Experience with M&A transactions is a plus
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
