Job description

Job Title: Lead Industrial Engineer (Operations Strategy & Analytics)
Role Overview
We are seeking a data-driven and strategically minded Lead Industrial Engineer to provide high-impact analytical support for our executive leadership team. In this role, you will drive significant bottom-line value by applying advanced quantitative methods to optimize operational efficiency, capacity planning, and revenue growth within a complex, high-volume hospitality and entertainment ecosystem. You will lead a team of analysts to identify root causes, engineer scalable solutions, and institutionalize change through sophisticated mathematical modeling and process improvement. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who can translate "big data" into compelling business cases for senior executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Advanced Systems Optimization (40%): Apply comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Engineering (IE) and business analytics to departmental projects. Utilize structured techniques including Queuing Theory, Mathematical Optimization, Computer Simulation, and Probability & Statistics to engineer solutions for complex operational challenges.
• Data Mining & Field Studies (35%): Lead sophisticated data collection efforts. Utilize SQL and Python to query large databases and design/conduct field studies to validate modeling assumptions and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Strategic Business Case Development (25%): Translate technical findings into actionable business cases. Present recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, from frontline operations to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational excellence and financial goals.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of non-exempt analysts, ensuring project delivery aligns with company policies, safety standards, and rigorous analytical quality control.
• Operational Readiness: Support a high-demand, 24/7/365 operation, providing flexible leadership during peak periods (weekends, holidays, and special events).
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, or Decision Science required.
• Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of applied experience in industrial engineering and operational analysis.
• Proven background in conducting field studies and capacity/demand analysis in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Technical Mastery:
• Expertise in SQL and Python for data manipulation and querying.
• Proficiency with Business Intelligence/Dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Experience with Statistical Modeling software (e.g., R, SPSS, or equivalent).
• Strong command of project management methodologies to oversee multiple simultaneous workstreams.
• Attributes: Superior analytical ability, conceptual thinking, and the interpersonal skills necessary to partner with diverse teams in a challenging operational environment.
Preferred Background
• Master's degree in a related quantitative field.
• Experience performing operational analyses for large-scale venues, resorts, retail/dining hubs, or multi-faceted entertainment complexes
