Job description

 Salary Range: $93,671.00 - $140,507.00 

Position Summary:

The Sr. Sourcing Specialist will have the opportunity toenhance our organizational capability as part of the global strategic sourcing team for SIT On It Seating, Albany Park, Edlo Finch, X-chair, Mavix, and Timbuk2 and other brands. Reporting to the Director of Textiles,this role plays an integral part in the identification and development of the methods by which we drive improvements in supply chain management. 

This is a 6 month temporary hybrid role requiring onsite work three days per week in Cypress, CA (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
    • Exemplis is a company that is driven to be the best in our industry, and this demands aggressive timelines and aggressive financial goals.  This position will be at the forefront of leading the teams in achieving the timeline and financial goals through aggressive sourcing initiatives for Timbuk2 and Textile development. 
    • The positions will be Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) in Bag and Luggage supply chain management as well as Trims, Color Materials Finish (CMF) activities, and Fabric sourcing.      
    • Bring you're A-game problem solving skills to create a world class supply base by evaluating and selecting the companies we partner with in the luggage, bag, textile and trims industry.    
    • Be an integral member of the NPI (New Product Introduction) Team launching new and Innovative products by assisting in the development process.  
    • Workingcross-functionally within the organization to understand, influence, andeducate others on improvements to sourcing processes. 
    • Workwith internal partners as product/quality issues arise and leverage the supplierrelationships in working towards resolution.  
    • Manage seasonal calendars along with key stake holders to hit critical retail dates.    
    • Work on pre-costing, margin reporting and negotiations on pricing throughout the supply chain. 
    • Manage long-term agreements with supplier partners and key raw materials supplier.  
Qualifications, Skills and Education:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Sourcing in a progressive Strategic Sourcing environment.
  • Experience in international supply chain management, or equivalent education.
  • Working knowledge of international trade.  
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems or equivalent knowledge

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master degree in Business disciplines or Engineering.
  • Experience with Commodity Strategy creation and implementation.
  • Apparel or accesory development
  • Project management experience
  • R&D experience
  • NPI experience

Working conditions:

The position requires a person to travel and visit manufacturing sites domestically and internationally. Travel overseas and to Northern Mexico will be required for the position. The position will be based in Cypress, CA
