Brivo is seeking a Temporary IT Technician (6 month contract) for our Bethesda, Maryland location. As a successful employee support person, you will work on hardware/software and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming employee tickets
  • Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using remote access
  • Provides timely resolution of tickets or escalation on behalf of employee appropriate technical personnel
  • Supports and maintains effective relationships with users
  • Track inventory of all IT-related hardware and software
  • Ensure performance security, and uptime of corporate network and systems, including firewall, spam filtering, e-mail, collaboration, VOIP, VPN
  • Support of hosted/SaaS ERP, Voip, Email, File sharing, etc
  • Communicate to management when IT requirements dictate new purchases
  • Implement and maintain internal systems/applications
  • Manage physical and logical access to facility systems and applications
  • Manage wordpress


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Two or more years of experience working with either fiber-based networking or managed services, such as Fiber Internet Access, High-Speed Data, Ethernet, Managed Network Services, Managed Security Services, Managed Wi-Fi Services, Enterprise Trunking, Hosted Voice and Enterprise TV Services
  • Experience with network protocols, RF, routers, layer-2 switches, VPN, CWDM, HFC plant and delivery system, routing protocols and policies, Wi-Fi and VoIP platforms
  • Working knowledge of wireless technology
  • In depth knowledge of hardware and software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering exemplary customer service
  • Ability to take direction, working well with both in a team and alone
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in a professional manner
