Job description

Job Title: RN - OPERATING ROOM
Job Location: Portland, ME
Job Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
Shift: 7:00am- 7:00pm
Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced (minimum 3 years level 1 trained) Travel Nurse to join our team specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at our Level One Trauma Center.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in surgical nursing, exceptional patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-stress environment.
  • RN must be competent in Robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomy's, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomy's, Cystectomy's, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopy's and Ureteroscopy's. RN must be comfortable with a patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Call Requirements:
  • One overnight call, 11pm-7am for Trauma call; if on a specialty team, call will be scheduled per specialty team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Client).
Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience
Required Certifications: CNOR preferred
Unit Information:
  • Number of Beds: 26
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Equipment: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot
  • EMR: Epic
Must Have Skills/Experience: Level 1 trauma experience
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
  • General, GU/GYN, Client trauma, Client joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular

Type of Patients on Unit: Operating Room
Personality Fit: Flexible, accountable, timely, team player
Dress Code: Scrub Color: Teal scrubs issued from the hospital.
