Temporary staffing refers to the hiring of employees on a short-term basis to fill gaps in a company’s workforce. These positions are usually arranged through staffing agencies and can last from a few days to several months. Temporary staff are often brought in to cover for permanent employees on leave, handle seasonal workload increases, or contribute to special projects. This arrangement provides flexibility for both employers and workers, allowing businesses to respond quickly to changing needs and individuals to gain diverse work experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in temporary staffing, and why are they important?

To thrive in Temporary Staffing, you need a solid understanding of recruitment processes, candidate screening, and employment regulations, often supported by experience in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and HR management software is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and effective organizational abilities help distinguish top performers in this role. These skills ensure efficient placement of qualified candidates, compliance with labor laws, and strong client and candidate relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Temporary Pediatric Dentist | Keizer, OR October 2026 | Short-Term Opportunity + Potential for Permanent Position

Looking for a great place to spend the month of October — with the possibility of staying longer?

Gentle Dental Keizer Kids is seeking a Pediatric Dentist for a temporary opportunity during October 2026. Whether you have a gap between positions, are looking to add a short-term opportunity to your schedule, or want the chance to experience a practice before making a longer-term commitment, we'd love to connect!

And if you love Keizer Kids as much as we think you will, there is an opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time Pediatric Dentist position at the end of October.

A Practice Built for Kids

Gentle Dental Keizer Kids is a state-of-the-art dental office thoughtfully designed specifically for pediatric patients.

From customizable colored lighting and ceiling-mounted entertainment screens to adjustable ambient lighting, every detail of the practice was intentionally designed to create a calm, engaging environment for children.

This isn't simply a general dental office with a pediatric schedule — Keizer Kids was built with pediatric dentistry in mind, helping minimize sensory overload and create a positive, comfortable experience for both children and their families.

The Opportunity

Temporary Pediatric Dentist – October 2026

Join our Keizer Kids team for the month of October with a defined, short-term commitment. For a Pediatric Dentist interested in something more permanent, this opportunity can also serve as a great introduction to the practice, team, and patient community before transitioning into a full-time position.

Location:
Gentle Dental Keizer Kids
3836 River Rd N
Keizer, OR 97303

Why Keizer Kids?
  • An entire team focused on pediatric dentistry and helping kids feel comfortable in the dental office
  • A modern practice intentionally designed around the pediatric patient experience
  • Supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Clinical autonomy to provide quality care based on best practices and each patient's individual needs
  • Established pediatric patient base
  • Opportunity to step into a practice already equipped, staffed, and designed for pediatric care
  • Potential to transition into a permanent full-time Pediatric Dentist role after October
Position Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry Residency
  • Active Oregon Dental License in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • DEA registration and NPI as applicable

For candidates interested in continuing beyond October, there is an opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position with Gentle Dental Keizer Kids, including our comprehensive full-time benefits package.

If you're a Pediatric Dentist looking for a great short-term opportunity — or you're interested in finding your next long-term dental home but want the chance to experience the practice first — we'd love to hear from you!
