About the Opportunity

A Fortune 500, globally recognized infrastructure leader is seeking a battle-tested Sr Superintendent to lead field delivery on complex, billion-dollar programs specifically with sports arenas ( NBA, NFL) You'll be the person who turns plans into progress, drives accountability across trade partners, and protects both schedule and safety at the highest level. If you've built the big ones — airports, arenas, civic towers — this role was made for you.

What You'll Own on Site

  • Field Operations — Direct daily work across all scopes, coordinating temp works, access, laydown, traffic control, and public interface on constrained urban sites
  • Scheduling — Build and maintain short-interval and look-ahead plans aligned to the master schedule; drive constraint removal and phase turnover readiness
  • Logistics — Optimize deliveries, hoisting, staging, and just-in-time material flow; manage crane strategy and event/operations interfaces
  • Quality & Commissioning — Enforce QA/QC, ITPs, and mock-ups; lead punch list closure and coordinate start-up and system turnovers
  • Commercial Acumen — Validate quantities, support change management, verify progress for pay applications, and monitor production and earned value
  • People Leadership — Mentor superintendents and field engineers; run daily huddles, weekly coordination, and visual management routines
  • Compliance & Permits — Ensure adherence to codes, permits, and environmental requirements; maintain documentation and as-builts for closeout
  • Safety Culture — Champion a zero-incident environment and implement robust contingency plans for seasonal and supply chain risks

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Engineering / Construction Management + 12 years superintendent experience, or equivalent combination of education and field experience
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Experience with Sports arenas
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship available)

Preferred Background

  • 12+ years as Superintendent / General Superintendent on large, complex sports programs
  • Mega-project experience ($500M+) strongly preferred
  • Proven delivery of concurrent zones on occupied or operational sites
  • Heavy coordination expertise: structures, MEP, vertical transportation, envelope, and civil interfaces
  • Sector experience in aviation, stadiums/arenas, healthcare, education, data centers, or high-rise
  • CMAR and progressive delivery model experience

Physical Demands

This role requires physical stamina and mobility on active construction sites, including climbing ladders and stairs, using personnel hoists, and navigating varied terrain. Required physical activities include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are required. Occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily on active job sites with exposure to environmental and job-related hazards including heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may range from moderate to high. PPE is required and employees must remain alert at all times to ensure safety.
