About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, analytically driven Sr. Sports Analyst to join our Sports Analytics team. They will support a culture of data driven decision making, provide actionable insights and recommendations as well as identify key opportunities and efficiencies within the sports business, across areas such as segmentation, VIP, bonus, pricing, margin and sport/league/team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated analytical thinker who thrives in collaborative environments to inform key business decisions. They will also need to efficiently manage multiple projects across several different key business priorities and will need to be comfortable interfacing with key internal and external business leaders. This is a cross-functional role and will require partnership with product, trading, operations, and finance teams to generate insights that directly shape how BetMGM prices, structures, and delivers its sports betting offering.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the development and delivery of actionable insights and analysis in response to key business questions across bonus, VIP, trading, promotions, etc.

  • Efficiently manage and deliver multiple short- and long-term projects at pace

  • Lead the analytics strategy within the Sports Analytics team in collaboration with the Sports SLT

  • Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations clearly to senior leadership, translating quantitative outputs into actionable business narratives

  • Build and maintain a range of complex datasets, reports and dashboards

  • Lead analytical work to measure, evaluate and optimize bonus and promotional spend

  • Design and evaluate controlled experiments (A/B and multivariate tests) to drive incremental business value

  • Build agents and automations to automate manual tasks and processes

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a rigorous, high-performance analytics culture

Qualifications

  • 4+ years commercial experience in analytics, business intelligence or data science

  • Advanced use and understanding of SQL and large complex datasets

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R)

  • Demonstrated ability to build clear, stakeholder-ready dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI

  • Strong analytical communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical and senior audiences

  • Experience leading analytical strategies across the commercial business

  • Experience designing and analysing A/B or multivariate tests to evaluate commercial interventions

  • Experience working with large and sometimes incomplete and complex data sets

  • Expert understanding of sports and the sports betting industry in United States

  • Prior experience in a regulated sports betting or iGaming environment is preferred

  • Business standard use of the English language

The annual salary range for this position is $92,000 to $120,750. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Applicants must possess legal authorization to work for our company in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship. At this time, this role is not eligible for immigration-related employment authorization sponsorship including H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, OPT, etc.
