Job Summary
Works with the head coach in all facets of the Men's and Women's Swim and Dive program to ensure a quality and successful Division I team. Responsible for scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, equipment management, camps and clinics. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
  • Experience coaching swimming at the high school, collegiate or equivalent level.
  • Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU's Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in sports management or related field.
  • Two (2) years experience coaching collegiate swimming.
  • Progressively responsible experience in practice and game day coaching, recruiting, scheduling, academic support and camps/clinics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.
  • Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.
  • Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
  • Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
