Job description

James Scott LLC is actively seeking Mid and Sr. level Test and Evaluation Engineers for one of its top tier clients that possesses solid experience to support large research, testing and evaluation missions. Duties and Responsibilities • Lead and participate in system-level technical and operational testing for software-intensive systems and perform analysis
• Oversee and assist in the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities in coordination with the Army Evaluation Center and external Defense test agencies • Assists in developing, preparing, executing, and overseeing Test Plans and Procedures to include mission scenarios and evaluation methodologies • Oversee and participate in Integrated Product Teams and Test Readiness Reviews • Assess technical documentation for test readiness and monitor T&E accomplishment
• Assist the development of testing tools and methodologies and coordinate with the testing organizations throughout the T&E lifecycle, inclusive of data authentication groups • Provide and review test documentation including Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), specific test plans, schedules, and test report in support of Milestone Decisions and Material Release Minimum Requirements (Knowledge and Skills) • Robust experience with RF, EW and waveform testing • Experience with developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness • Familiarity with the use of databases and automated tools for evaluation, analytical, and verification support
• Familiarity with T&E policies and procedures in support of DoD 5000 Acquisition
• Experience leading all aspects of a test including test planning, management of test activities, test evaluation, and reporting to various stakeholders
• Familiarity with formal phases of testing and their associated review processes, including contractor testing, developmental testing, and operational testing, operational assessment, and user acceptance testing
• Experience preparing test documentation (e.g., test plans, test procedures, TEMPS, etc.). • Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams Active Minimum Clearance • TS/SCI Experience • Five (5) or more years progressively complex experience in the testing and integration of software-intensive systems, especially related to tactical C4ISR, EW and Cyber systems • At least 2 years of experience related to systems integration, verification, and testing • At least 4 years of experience in a test engineer role on a Department of Defense (DoD) program to include devising test strategies, writing test plans, procedures and creating reports Education • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or computer engineering. • 4 additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree Other Qualifications • Ability to travel up to 20% OCONUS
• Ability to work in office, field, and lab environments
