SOFTWARE ENGINEER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Engineer, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. You will play a crucial role as a member of a talented team of engineers who develop, sustain, upgrade, and enhance software and full system solutions using the latest development tools, libraries, and techniques.


WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer must have:
Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional developer experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
Experience: 20+ years of related experience
Technical skills: Experience with AWS tools and services, Terraform, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Git/Gitlab, Gitlab runners, CI/CD, and Linux
Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
US citizenship required
Role requirements:

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines

  • Establish staging clusters

  • Deploy and test software

  • Create infrastructure through code with tools like Terraform

  • Write helm charts

  • Transfer software artifacts between systems

  • Create documentation

  • Monitor system health and resource usage

The likely salary range for this position is $187,179 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
