Job Title: Quality Inspector

CANDIDATES MUST ALREADY HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Job Description

This role focuses on inspecting composite fabrication processes and structural assemblies that support stealth aircraft production, ensuring all components meet stringent quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect composite fabrication processes to verify they meet established specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Examine structural assemblies and airframes to ensure dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with engineering requirements.
  • Perform detailed inspections of composite materials, including wet composites, composite layup, and composite assemblies.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformances or defects found during inspections, following established inspection and reporting protocols.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to clarify specifications and resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Use inspection tools, gauges, and measurement equipment to verify critical dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation to support traceability and compliance requirements.
  • Follow all applicable safety, security, and quality procedures while working in a defense manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience inspecting structures, airframes, and/or composite materials.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing inspection in an aerospace or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in inspecting composite materials, including wet composites, composite layup, and composite assembly processes.
  • Strong understanding of quality inspection methods, standards, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defects, deviations, and nonconformances.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

  • Experience inspecting airframes or structural assemblies in aerospace or defense environments.
