Do you like the Care Bears? We absolutely love them! They're cute and cuddly, but most importantly, they teach some amazing lessons about caring and empathy. Well, our HR team tries to take those messages to heart, and we're looking for Temporary HR Assistants who are ready to put that kind of care into serving our employees. We need someone who can support the HR team and help assist with a variety of tasks centered around aiding our employees to achieve their full potential!

Our Temporary HR Assistants are responsible for many important tasks. They monitor incoming seasonal applications and troubleshoot simple employee issues. They maintain up-to-date postings and assist the application process, so strong organizational skills and communication skills are a definite must.ย 

If you have a strong sense of empathy and some savvy communication skills, then we'd love to have you on our HR team. And we might even give you extra bonus points if you've already figured out what Care Bear you feel the most like!ย 

Requirements

ย Job Duties:ย 

Work between 25-40 hours/week; Ability to work weekends as needed

Helping recruit and hire over 1,000 temporary Customer Service and Warehouse staff

Schedule, organize and conduct mass orientations and building tours for new employees

Become a main resource for all temporary employee questions and concerns

Schedule and conduct interviews for high potential candidates

Assist with employee relations issues, including discipline and termination

Help keep employee morale up during the busiest times

Processing and filing of paperwork associated with onboarding temporary employees

Answering the HR phone line, email, and chatย 

Screening seasonal applicationsย 

Calling, emailing, and/or texting applicants

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Working towards a degree in Management, Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Sports Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or similar fieldsย 

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Excellent computer skills, including familiarity and comfort using Microsoft Office Suite

Attend off-site recruiting events

Basic knowledge of various employment laws and best practices

Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality

Ability to multi-task, switch priorities at a moment's notice, and possess a strong attention to detail

Ability to make sound judgement calls quickly, confidently, and decisively

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations

High School diplomaย 

Some evening and weekend availability

Preferred Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. in Management, Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Sports Management, Public Relations, or similar fields.

6 months experience training, recruiting, supervising and/or managing employees

Wage: Effective 09/06/2026-November 7, 2026, $17 - $18.50 per hour
