Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Department of Health Informatics.
The Temporary Research Assistant will assist the faculty member in the conduct of the faculty member's multiple research studies. The position is responsible for providing research activities to support to the faculty member, such as participants recruitment (contact participants), screening, and enrollment in accordance with federal, state and institutional guidelines, protocol development, data collection, various types of record keeping, assists in statistical analysis and data coding, presentation and manuscripts preparation, etc.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
  • Assist with protocol initiation and development, alongside PI and study team.
  • Assist with eIRB initiation.
  • Human subjects' recruitment, management, monitoring.
  • Data collection and data management (e.g., interviews, surveys, experiments).
  • Support grant-related research activities.
  • Assist with data clean, data analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Assist with data collection in RedCap/Qualtrics.
  • Assist with presentation and manuscripts preparation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details $16.00 Minimum Salary 15.49 Mid Range Salary 75.00 Maximum Salary 150.00 Offer Information
The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Research experience or strong interest in behavioral, epidemiological, and/or health services research is required.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency and knowledge of multiple statistical software packages preferred, such as SPSS, SAS, R, python, etc.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience with social network analysis, text analysis, and other computational analysis is a plus.
Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment Special Conditions
  • Available for some evening and weekend for collecting data from the participants.
  • Attends research study meetings in person or video chats.
  • Willing to help recruit participants from local fairs and gatherings (non-school settings), etc.
