ABOUT THE ROLE

A well-established legal practice is seeking an experienced Veterans Benefits Paralegal to support attorneys in representing veterans through the VA disability claims and appeals process. This role is ideal for a missionโ€‘driven professional with direct experience handling Veterans Disability cases who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex benefits matters. You will review records, prepare claims and appeals, communicate with clients, and manage a highโ€‘volume caseload while ensuring accuracy and compliance with VA requirements.

Veterans Benefits paralegals often face pain points such as unclear VA requirements, slow response times from agencies, inconsistent documentation, high caseload pressure, and emotionally demanding client interactions. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Review client records and conduct legal research to support case preparation
  • Work with clients to complete required forms, authorizations, and releases
  • Prepare and file VA disability claims, appeals, and supporting correspondence
  • Guide clients through the VA benefits process and answer claim-related questions
  • Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting strict filing deadlines
  • Review VA decisions and ensure all documentation is properly maintained
  • Maintain accurate electronic case records using case management software
  • Provide professional, compassionate support throughout the claims and appeals process
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
  • 3โ€“5 years of paralegal experience handling Veterans Disability cases (Candidates without direct Veterans Disability experience will not be considered)
