This is a mid-level clerical support work of moderate difficulty and complexity involving a variety of tasks requiring independent work decisions within established policies and timeframes, usually requiring familiarity with specialized terminology.

EXAMPLES OF WORK
Serves as Receptionist or Administrative Assistant; determines purpose of contact; provides general information and assists in preparation of forms if needed; directs individuals to proper destination; receives and distributes messages; schedules and/or arranges appointments as necessary.
Acts as coordinator between sales team and president; receives all incoming requests for proposals then channels these requests to the appropriate individual; coordinate the production of high quality, impactful proposals
Coordinate/schedule all travel lodging and fuel needs for scheduled jobs
Processes and distributes mail according to established procedures; prepares material for mailing.
Establishes and maintains filing systems; prepares records for storage and/or archiving.
Enters, updates, and/or retrieves information utilizing automated systems.
Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; proofreads completed work.
Compiles and summarizes data or reports from a variety of sources in accordance with specific instructions or procedures.
Operates standard office equipment.
Types a variety of materials on an incidental basis, utilizing a computer keyboard and work processing software.
Lifts and/or moves materials, as necessary, in the performance of assigned duties.
Receives general supervision from a designated administrative supervisor, however, will work independently with established guidelines.
Performs other related work as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Intermediate knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment.
Intermediate knowledge of business math computations, grammar, composition, and spelling.
Intermediate knowledge of computer information systems and software.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to establish and/or maintain moderately complex records; retrieve and compile data.
Ability to prepare spreadsheets and reports.
Ability to make and apply routine decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.
Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Six or more months of experience in clerical or general office support work; and possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.
