Hiring Experienced Field Engineer – Construction

Location: On-site | Active Construction Project

Pay: $75k-$90k

Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Field Engineer to play a critical role in the successful execution of a large-scale construction project. This position serves as the operational link between field crews and Project Engineers, ensuring materials, sequencing, and installation readiness are aligned with project goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Track and manage materials from delivery through installation to ensure continuous installation readiness
  • Coordinate directly with field crews to support installation sequencing and address engineering or constructability discrepancies
  • Resolve material issues—including missing, damaged, or incorrect items—by coordinating technical replacements with vendors and engineers
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting, including material status updates, look-ahead forecasts, and budgetary results
  • Ensure all activities comply with site safety requirements and safe material handling procedures
  • Act as the primary liaison between on-site field teams and Project Engineers (Kansas City-based), ensuring rapid resolution of installation challenges and deficiencies as the project progresses
Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in field engineering, project coordination, or construction-related roles
  • Strong foundation in project management and construction management principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple material and workstreams simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers to schedule and manage jobsite deliveries
  • Ability to interpret project drawings, specifications, and installation schedules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in an active construction environment
