Job description

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND DUTIES:

  • Place incoming material into Arrived Status in MRP system.
  • Confirm part quantity matches PO quantity.
  • Inspect parts to Engineering documents standards and specifications.
  • Receive purchase orders into the MRP system once parts are verified as acceptable.
  • Will learn to complete First Article Inspections as required.
  • Will learn to complete NCR’s for non-conforming material.
  • Work priorities when notified to support customer and/or production needs.
  • Work with Quality Manager and Quality Analyst as needed.
  • Help with or complete special projects at the discretion of the Quality Manager.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years experience in Receiving and Inspection of manufactured and purchased parts with the ability to learn receiving inspection.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the use of general metrology equipment found in a light engineering environment (includes height gauges, verniers, calipers etc.).
  • MS Office experience required and working knowledge of MRP system, IFS is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills; written, oral, and inter-personal.
  • Knowledge of the valve, casting, machining, and PCB industry is a plus.
  • Ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks and pass certification.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
