QA Process Engineer - Refinishing plant

PG Golf LLC is looking for a QA Process Engineer who can lead a new project to build and start up a golf ball refinishing plant in our operations.  No Sponsorship offered for this position. Summary:

Provide supervision and direction to maintenance personnel to ensure high efficiency and performance of facility services and manufacturing equipment. Provide supervision and direction to quality personnel to monitor process and product quality to achieve finished ball quality standards, while minimizing the need for rework or scrap product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Develop and direct maintenance associates by troubleshooting, repairing, and scheduling preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance.

2.    Develop an understanding of standards and workflow relationships between departments to optimize operational efficiencies.

3.    Obtain and document a detailed understanding of the whitening and refinishing process and equipment.

4.    Schedule and deliver on fabrication, assembly, and debugging of projects designed by self, other team members, or modifications to commercially acquired equipment.

5.    Develop and maintain proper documentation including but not limited to manufacturing procedures, MOC’s, PHA’s, Technical Data sheets, PSSR’s, JSA’s, incident reporting, Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, quality sampling plans, and maintenance procedures.

6.    Provide direct supervision for QA/Process Technician by providing training and certification of manufacturing associates in process control and ball standards to accurately identify finished ball cosmetic quality, physical properties, and compliance with quality specifications.

7.    Monitor product quality and lead effort to continuously drive improvements in process capability.

8.    Complete process capability studies and implement control systems, targets, and KPI’s.

REQUIREMENTS 

·         BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; preferred chemical experience.

·         Between 3 to 5 years of progressive growth in manufacturing operations management, including experience leading and coaching professional-level associates to deliver outstanding results.

·         Preferred Lean/Six Sigma knowledge

·         Advanced knowledge in Paints and Coatings manufacturing processes.

·         Strong communication skills

·         Role will support Refinishing project. Domestic travel is required up to 25% of the time depending on project requirements.

·         Project work may require weekend and extended days to meet project deadlines.

·         AutoCAD skills required. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, database management tools.
