Job description

POSITION SUMMARY


The Plant Operations Assistant, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, is responsible for

operating manufacturing/packaging equipment, which includes equipment set-up, checking for quality

of product, and meeting production schedules. This is a direct hire, not a temporary position.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operate conveyor, shrink-wrap,, and bagging equipment

Hanging and sealing bags of product

Filling and sealing shaker bottles of product

Bag product with the correct blend to the required weight level

Place product on pallets according to specifications

Assist with maintaining equipment,a which includes cleaning out production equipment and lines

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Performs other related duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High school diploma or equivalent


SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Basic math skills

Demonstrated ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment

Mechanical and technical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities

Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
