Job description

Title: Temporary Communications and Administrative Coordinator


Summary: The Antioch Partners (TAP) equips, sends and supports long-term, cross-cultural missionaries (called "Partners").


The Temporary Communications and Administrative Coordinator (TCAC) will work with
TAP staff to develop, manage, and implement communication and administrative tasks. As
a vital member of the TAP support staff team, the TCAC will also provide communications
and administrative support to the TAP Partners serving around the world.


TAP is looking for an organized, analytical, creative TCAC with strong communication and
problem-solving skills to perform office duties, manage events, produce effective
communications (written, visual and video), create consistent branding, and other related
tasks. The TCAC will continue until TAP hires a permanent Communications &
Administrative Director, or when TAP leadership decides to pursue a different direction for
this role.


Reports to: TAP Executive Director


Duties and Responsibilities:
Communications and Administrative Support: Provide communications and
administrative support to TAP staff and Partners. Work collaboratively with the TAP
community to enhance and develop the mission and ministries of TAP.


TAP Office: Work alongside the Financial & Administrative Assistant to manage
office functions such as greeting visitors, preparing documents and forms, answering
the telephone, interacting with donors, and other office tasks


Financial Records: Provide financial record keeping support in collaboration with
the Financial & Administrative Assistant and the Operations Director. These tasks
involve QuickBooks, eTapestry, Bloomerang (online giving platform), as well as
other apps.


Communications: In consultation with the Executive Director, implement essential
aspects of TAP's communication strategy. This will include ministry communications
(emails, letters, e-newsletters, etc.) and creating promotional materials. Depending
on videography skills, the TCAC will create/manage some video projects.


Events and Meetings: Assist with coordination of logistics for events (conferences,
trainings, etc.) and meetings (board meetings, task force meetings, etc.). Together
with the Executive Director, begin planning of the 2027 annual fundraiser dinner,
including communications.


Website and Social Media: Manage TAP's website and manage weekly Facebook
posts (creating graphics, designs, pages on website, etc.). Executive Director will
assist with content.


Other Duties: Performs other duties as directed by the Executive Director and other
TAP staff as requested.


Salary & Benefits: Salary is negotiable based on experience. It is expected that the TCAC will
work approximately 20 hours/week (the majority of these hours will be in office, but days
and hours can be flexible).


Review: After 1 month, an initial review will be conducted by the TAP Executive Director
with input from other TAP staff members as appropriate.

Self-starter with good organizational and managerial skills
Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and
Canva (MailChimp and Final Cut Pro would be beneficial)
Good communication (oral and written) and listening skills
Able to be flexible and anticipate needs
Ability to work effectively while balancing a variety of tasks simultaneously
Aptitude and desire to apply new tools and processes, as well as to explore new
ways of doing ministry
Previous cross-cultural ministry experience preferred
Sense of humor


Other Requirements or Special Conditions:
Flexibility to work under pressure with time constraints, and to work with
interruptions
Occasional work outside of normal Monday - Friday office hours, including some
evenings, and possibly weekends
