What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule in employment typically refers to a probationary period lasting three months, during which an employer evaluates a new employee's performance and suitability for the role. For temporary moonlighting jobs, this period may determine whether the worker continues in the position or transitions to a permanent role, and it often involves specific performance assessments or trial periods. Employers may also use this timeframe to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies regarding temporary or part-time work.
