Key Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling, access control, security cameras, AV systems, and sound masking devices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, cable paths, and job site documentation.
  • Operate independently or support larger install teams on commercial job sites.
  • Use hand and power tools, ladders, and lifts safely and effectively.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project leads, clients, and teammates.
  • Complete field documentation as required (photos, install logs, punch lists).
  • Bring your own tools, truck, and ladder when working as a temp.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on low-voltage installation experience.
  • Experience with structured cabling, access control, CCTV, AV, or sound masking.
  • Strong punctuality and accountability; able to show up early and stay on task.
  • Basic technical literacy with laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred:

  • BICSI or manufacturer certifications in structured cabling.
  • Certifications in access control, CCTV, AV, or sound masking systems.
  • Own a truck, ladder, and full tool set (required for on-demand/temp roles).
Compensation & Schedule

  • Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday; hours vary by assignment
