UpFitter Laborer (Entry Level)

Location: Decatur, GA
Pay: $17.00–$20.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Labor Staffing is now hiring Entry-Level UpFitter Laborers for a growing production team. If you enjoy working with your hands, have a mechanical aptitude, and are eager to learn a skilled trade, this is an excellent opportunity. No prior upfitting experience is required—training is provided! This position offers hands-on experience customizing vehicles with specialized equipment while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing specialized vehicle equipment, accessories, and components.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks, including routing wiring harnesses and installing lights, switches, and accessories.
  • Support fabrication work such as measuring, drilling, cutting, deburring, and assembling parts.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Follow work instructions, layouts, and installation diagrams.
  • Perform quality checks and report any mechanical or installation issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain after hire).
