Job description

The Temporary Laboratory Technician will join a collaborative and purpose-driven AQE lab team focused on ensuring the safety and performance of medical devices. As a Laboratory Technician, you will conduct structured and exploratory testing on various products, contributing to the development and improvement of life-enhancing technologies. This role involves hands-on testing, accurate data recording, and active participation in continuously improving laboratory processes and equipment.

Additional responsibilities include other activities supporting lab projects, as directed by the Lab Supervisor. • Perform product testing in accordance with established lab procedures, protocols, and timelines. • Record test results clearly and accurately in both physical and digital formats.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration is up to date. • Report any irregularities in test results or equipment performance promptly. • Support the development of new test methods and equipment.

• Contribute to investigations, prototype evaluations, and exploratory testing. Assist with laboratory upkeep and administrative tasks. Record all lab results on laboratory forms Complete lab shutdown following the lab SOP Produce high quality laboratory testing Maintain laboratory inventory and organize laboratory supplies Keeping laboratory records and preparing laboratory reports Operate lab equipment in accordance with lab internal SOP Perform chemical testing on wet samples Maintaining laboratory equipment, collecting samples and performing tests Perform lab analysis of chemical products Maintaining laboratory chemical supplies and equipment Assist lab partners with laboratory testing and preparing samples and petri dishes Perform lab testing on food products Perform tests and procedures using laboratory equipment Prepare samples for outside lab testing and compile results Gather samples and perform check samples Insure that laboratory testing equipment is calibrated Performing non-routine lab analysis Perform chemical analysis by using various laboratory instruments Provide support daily lab testing of incoming raw milk samples Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations, plus 1 year of laboratory experience • Degree in Biological or Engineering Sciences, or equivalent laboratory experience.

• Comfortable interpreting technical documentation and following detailed procedures. • Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry and reporting. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically.

• Able to manage time effectively and remain focused during repetitive tasks. • Experience with data analysis and a good level of numeracy.
