Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

This position is temporary in duration. Candidates must be willing and able to work shift work, days or nights. Overtime and weekend work is required. Candidates will be expected to work all scheduled shifts.

Primary duties may include all or some of the following:

  • Light and/or heavy janitorial work in the power plant, potentially including decontamination.
  • General clean-up and labor work. May be lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Operate cars and pickup trucks.
  • Fire-watch, foreign material exclusion, confined space entry attendant or maintaining inventory.
  • Pick and deliver tools, materials, supplies, and equipment within a work site.
  • Utilize hand held barcode reader in the performance of the above duties.
  • Operate common hand and power tools, including small forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Load and unload supplier vehicles.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or necessary.

Candidates must meet basic qualifications which include:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Valid vehicle operator's license.
  • Ability to operate a Class 01 or Class 02 vehicle.
  • Basic computer skills to enter data and receive job assignments.

All successful candidates must pass required tests and assessments. Candidates will be assigned to appropriate departments (Site Support Services, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, and Supply Chain)based on a

person's background and qualifications.
