The US Oncology Network is one of the nation's largest networks of community-based oncology physicians dedicated to advancing cancer care in America. The US Oncology Network is supported by McKesson Corporation focused on empowering a vibrant and sustainable community patient care delivery system to advance the science, technology, and quality of care.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of our new Central Billing Office (CBO), created to support the continued growth and operational needs of our multi-specialty oncology practice. This dedicated department will serve as a centralized resource for revenue cycle functions, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and high-quality service for both patients and clinical teams.

As cancer care grows more complex, so does the financial journey that accompanies it. Our CBO is being built to meet that challenge with innovation and a commitment to operational excellence. We're assembling a team of driven, knowledgeable professionals who are ready to streamline processes, optimize reimbursement, and support our clinical teams for overall practice success.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Medical claim data entry into practice management system from pre-coded visit list
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance information into practice management system
  • Maintain patient privacy according to applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform data entry tasks & verify accuracy of said data
  • Prepare various reports
  • Gather information from hospital portals
  • Contacting patients by phone to obtain necessary information
  • Other projects & duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical insurance carriers preferred
  • Working knowledge of CPT/diagnosis/modifiers and related information required for claim submission preferred
  • Ability to obtain information from hospital portals and contacting patients by phone required
  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical setting preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software required
  • Experience with data entry systems/dashboards preferred

Physical Demands:

Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, a calculator, telephone, copier and other such office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
