Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead projects from design through installation. You will develop mechanical designs for structures, systems, and components to meet customer needs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility. This role requires collaboration with various teams and direct customer interaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from design through installation.
  • Develop mechanical designs for structures, systems, and components to meet customer needs.
  • Review and release drawings and BOMs for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Collaborate with applications, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams.
  • Perform design and analysis using SolidWorks; support drafting with AutoCAD.
  • Provide application engineering and cost estimates to support Sales.
  • Support service teams and customers with technical expertise.
  • Contribute to R&D, standardization, and modular product design.
  • Conduct cost and profitability analysis.
  • Interface directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience within large capital equipment or a related industry.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience creating and managing design bills of material (BOMs).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems, SAP preferred.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in foundry operations or bulk material handling.
Work Environment

This position is based on-site in an office setting, with working hours from Monday to Friday during the first shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
