Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties, completing transportation paperwork, data entry and invoicing orders. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of efficiency in load capacity, maintaining compliance in DOT weights/measure, and quality control for final loads for customer delivery.
Job Responsibilities
  • Process shipping and receiving documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Sign for packages and assist with receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming deliveries.
  • Prepare and coordinate outgoing mail and shipments.
  • Assist with basic shipping and receiving activities and related clerical functions.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory, shipment, and office records.
  • Scan, file, and organize invoices, shipping documents, and other business records.
  • Assist with invoice processing and administrative reporting.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals.
  • Retrieve and forward messages received in the general mailbox.
  • Greet visitors, customers, applicants, and drivers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers and drivers with basic requests, directions, and contact information.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain office security awareness.
  • Maintain inventory and order office supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate service and maintenance requests for office equipment.
  • Maintain front office appearance and overall office organization.
  • Support management and other departments with administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics preferred, or at least 5 years experience in logistics or customer service
  • Working in ERP/TMS Systems and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day
