Job Description:
As an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Intern, you will focus on supporting EHS initiatives, company objectives and plant-specific assignments. This role will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in EHS compliance, data management, and safety program development.
This EHS internship is located at our plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
This position offers a set rate of pay of $20.75 an hour.
What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to gather and analyze safety data, helping to develop safety metrics and reporting tools
  • Assist in the development of a plant safety training plan, preparation of safety training materials in Articulate software, procedures, and documentation to support the company's safety culture initiatives
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with the EHS team to provide insights and recommendations and communicate to the plant EHS initiatives
  • Assist in the development of Machine Specific Lockout Tagout procedures for plant equipment.
  • Develop contractor/vendor EHS educational materials and tracking mechanisms.

What you will need to succeed:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer and 15-20 hours during the school year
  • Strong research and data organization skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment
  • Reliable transportation
