Temporary Event Registration information

What is temporary event registration?

Temporary event registration refers to the process of signing up participants, vendors, or attendees for a specific event that takes place over a limited period, such as conferences, festivals, or trade shows. This role often involves collecting information, issuing credentials or badges, and providing customer service during the check-in process. Temporary event registrars help ensure a smooth and organized entry to the event, often working with registration software and interacting directly with the public. The position is typically short-term and tied to the duration of the event.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Temporary Event Registration staff member, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Temporary Event Registration staff member, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic computer proficiency, often supported by prior customer service experience. Familiarity with event management software, digital check-in platforms, and spreadsheet tools is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a calm demeanor under pressure help you excel in fast-paced event environments. These abilities ensure efficient attendee processing, positive guest experiences, and smooth event operations.

Temp-to-Hire, Hybrid (one day onsite per week)

$75,000 - $85,000

Reports To: Senior Vice President of Marketing

Lebanon, Indiana

The Sr. Multimedia Designer is a creative force who drives, maintains, and elevates brand presence across every channel through effective and impactful visual communication. This role demands a versatile, production-ready designer who is equally at home developing a multi-page print catalog, directing a product video shoot, and crafting social media content, all while embracing AI-powered tools to amplify speed, quality, and output. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated storyteller with deep technical fluency across print, digital, video, and motion formats, and a genuine passion for brand consistency and innovation.

Who You Are

You are a builder and a brand steward, someone who takes ownership from concept to final production. You think in systems, not just single assets. You are proactive about learning new tools and techniques, including AI, because you see them as a way to do your best work faster. You communicate clearly, collaborate well, and bring creative thinking to every brief, whether it's a 200-page product catalog, a 60-second brand video, or a social media post.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Visual Communication

โ€ข Drive and maintain the Aurora Parts brand identity across all print, digital, video, and social touchpoints.

โ€ข Develop visual communication pieces including flyers, sell sheets, brochures, logos, iconography, email templates, web graphics, landing pages, signage, and more.

โ€ข Build and maintain brand standards documentation, templates (PowerPoint, Word, InDesign), and style guides.

โ€ข Create and manage a visual and audio digital asset library for use across the organization.

Print & Catalog Production

โ€ข Lead layout and production of multi-page paper catalogs and product guides from concept through press-ready files.

โ€ข Design print advertising, trade show materials, packaging, and direct mail pieces.

โ€ข Manage print vendor relationships, review proofs, and troubleshoot production issues.

Video & Photography

โ€ข Conceive, coordinate, shoot, direct, and edit video content including product showcases, testimonials, interviews, company events, social reels, and promotional pieces.

โ€ข Plan and execute photography sessions for products, events, and portraits; handle setup, staging, lighting, and post-production.

โ€ข Produce motion graphics, animated social content, and short-form video optimized for digital platforms.

Digital & Social Media Design

โ€ข Create digital content for email campaigns, social media, website, and online advertising.

โ€ข Develop and update website graphics, microsite pages, and landing pages in collaboration with web and marketing teams.

โ€ข Produce social media content including static graphics, carousels, and short video that aligns with brand voice and platform best practices.

Events & Experiential

โ€ข Contribute to high-impact dealer and industry events: microsites, custom registration flows, digital and printed signage, day-of materials, and on-site execution.

โ€ข Support trade show planning with booth graphics, display materials, and promotional assets.

AI-Enhanced Workflow

โ€ข Actively integrate AI design, video, and productivity tools to increase output quality and efficiency without sacrificing brand integrity.

โ€ข Champion emerging AI capabilities within the Marketing team and help establish best practices for responsible use.

Creative Direction & Team Development

โ€ข Provide creative direction and day-to-day guidance to a Graphic Designer, reviewing work for brand consistency, quality, and alignment with project objectives.

โ€ข Support the professional development of the Graphic Designer through constructive feedback, skill-building opportunities, and mentorship.

Required Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Arts, or equivalent professional experience.

โ€ข 5+ years of professional design experience in an in-house B2B environment.

โ€ข Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Acrobat.

โ€ข Demonstrated experience with print catalog layout and production, including print-ready file preparation and press coordination.

โ€ข Hands-on video production experience: pre-production planning, on-set direction, shooting, and post-production editing.

โ€ข Strong command of photography techniques including product, portrait, and event photography.

โ€ข Experience with motion graphics and video animation.

โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

โ€ข Working knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot or equivalent).

โ€ข Demonstrated understanding of print processes, color management, and production workflows.

โ€ข Strong portfolio showcasing range across print, video, digital, and brand identity work.

โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present and articulate creative concepts clearly.

โ€ข Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

โ€ข Ability to work on-site at the Lebanon, IN office as needed; local or Greater Indianapolis area candidates strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

โ€ข Experience with web prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

โ€ข Familiarity with UX/UI principles and responsive design.

โ€ข Working knowledge of HTML/CSS or front-end web concepts.

โ€ข Experience with voiceover recording and audio editing.

โ€ข Knowledge of the trailer, trucking, or heavy-duty aftermarket parts industry.

โ€ข Experience with AI design and productivity tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Nano Banana, Stitch, or similar).
