Job description

Environmental Engineer | NYC Environmental Remediation & Compliance

Join a growing environmental consulting team working on impactful projects that help transform and revitalize communities throughout New York City. We are seeking an Environmental Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support a variety of environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly on projects involving NYC OER and NYSDEC programs, collaborating with experienced professionals on site assessments, remedial actions, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental due diligence efforts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional looking to expand their technical expertise while making a tangible impact on complex environmental projects across New York.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Phase II environmental site assessments, including well installations, soil borings, and drilling.
  • Conduct environmental fieldwork, including Phase I and Phase II sampling, CAMP, and remediation oversight.
  • Write detailed and comprehensive reports.
  • Manage remediation sites and perform soil sampling.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the environmental field.
  • Experience with NYC OER or DEC projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in oversight of Phase II environmental site assessments.
  • Knowledge of CAMP and remediation sites.
  • OSHA 30 certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and SST certifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is a blend of field and office work, with 40% of the time spent in the field and 60% in the office. Work hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM.
